TrackMyInstruments.com LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the TrackMyInstruments application and website at trackmyinstruments.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and any display name you provide.

Instrument Data: We store the instrument records, photos, notes, repair logs, and valuation data you enter into the Service.

Product Specification Contributions: When you add an instrument that is not yet in our catalog, we may copy its manufacturing specifications (for example manufacturer, model, year, materials, hardware and electronics) into our catalog review queue so we can add that model for all users. We never copy your name, email address, price or purchase details, serial number, notes, photos, repair logs, attachments or valuations. These specifications describe the product model, not you. You can stop contributing at any time in Account Settings.

Payment Information: We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your credit card number or payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Usage Data: We may collect information about how you use the Service, including log data, device information, and IP addresses.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process your subscription payments
• Send you transactional emails (receipts, payment alerts, account notices)
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve the Service
• Build and improve our reference catalog of instrument models from the manufacturing specifications you enter (see Section 1)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Upon deletion, your instrument data and account information are permanently removed from our systems.

Manufacturing specifications you contributed describe the instrument model, not you. If you delete your account, your instrument records are permanently removed, but specifications already added to our reference catalog are kept, with no link to you.

If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, we retain your data for up to 90 days to allow for reactivation before permanent deletion.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Service:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Supabase — database and authentication hosting
• Lovable — application hosting and delivery
• Reverb — third-party marketplace listings used to generate instrument valuations (reverb.com/privacy)
• Awin — affiliate marketing network; some links to Reverb listings on the Service are affiliate links tracked through Awin (awin.com/privacy-policy)

These services have their own privacy policies governing their handling of data.

5. Cookies

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication and session management. Some pages of the Service contain affiliate links to Reverb.com. If you click one of these links, Reverb's affiliate partner, Awin, may set a cookie on your device to track whether a purchase results from that click. This cookie is set by Reverb and Awin, not by us, and is governed by their respective privacy policies. Aside from this, we do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Affiliate Links

Some links on the Service — for example, links to comparable instrument listings shown as part of an instrument valuation — are affiliate links to Reverb.com. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from Reverb's affiliate partner, Awin, at no additional cost to you. These links do not affect the valuations, comparable listings, or other information we show you, and we do not accept payment from any seller to feature or rank a specific listing.

This application uses the Reverb API but is not endorsed, created by or certified by Reverb.com, LLC.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and row-level database security. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TrackMyInstruments application and website at trackmyinstruments.com (the "Service") operated by TrackMyInstruments.com LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Subscription and Billing

The Service offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Account Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

3. Your Data

You retain ownership of all instrument data, photos, and content you upload to the Service. You grant us a limited license to store and process your content to provide the Service and as described below.

We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for any purpose other than operating the Service and improving our reference catalog as described below.

Product specification information. The manufacturing specifications of an instrument you enter (for example manufacturer, model, year, materials, hardware and electronics) describe the product model rather than you. You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, combine and publish those specifications, separated from your account and from the rest of your content, to build and improve our reference catalog. This does not include your name, email address, serial numbers, prices, purchase or acquisition details, notes, photos, repair logs, attachments or valuations. You can stop contributing in Account Settings; this does not remove specifications already added to the catalog.

Catalog information. Specifications shown when you look up an instrument model are provided for convenience, may contain errors, and do not replace checking the instrument itself. You can report an error from the form.

4. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages that temporarily affect availability.

5. Valuations and Estimates

Any instrument valuations provided by the Service are estimates based on third-party marketplace data and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional appraisals and should not be relied upon for insurance, legal, tax, or financial purposes without independent verification.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. You may terminate your account at any time through Account Settings.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRACKMYINSTRUMENTS.COM LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
